Shipping
Signed books
All signed books are shipped by us (Caimh and Elaine).
As I have to corral Caimh and get him to sit down long enough to sign your book (apologies in advance for his creative handwriting!), we will process and post your order within 5 working days (excluding weekends and holidays). If you're based in the UK your order should arrive within a few days of posting. We use tracked postage for all UK orders of signed books.
If you notice your order hasn't moved in over a week, please contact us so we can speak to Royal Mail and investigate where your parcel is.
We can ship to most countries throughout the world, so if you see a message at checkout saying that we do not ship books to your country, please get in touch using the contact form, and we will do our best to get this added for you.
If you live overseas, shipping is via Royal Mail and your national postal service. On average, depending on the shipping method selected, this takes around 1-3 weeks to arrive, but Royal Mail advise that it can take up to 60 business days for Economy International, so please allow plenty of time.
Non-signed books
We use an independent printer called BookVault, and they are based in the UK, USA, Australia and Canada. They print the book when you place the order and then post it out to you. They use Royal Mail, local postal providers and FedEx to ship books. If you're based in the UK, it generally takes 5-7 working days, and if you live elsewhere, it takes 14-28 working days (again, that depends on which shipping option you selected).
You will be able to view tracking information through the link in the email you get after purchase.
Are there customs fees for EU orders?
As we pay VAT to the EU as part of the Import One Stop Shop Scheme, you should not be charged any additional customs or duty fees. If you are charged in error, please email elaine@mcforiink.com , and I will apply to get these refunded.
As of 1 July 2026, a change in EU regulation means that all e-commerce parcels imported into the EU are now subject to a fixed €3 fee per item type. If your order contains just books, you will be charged €3 as part of your postage regardless of the number of books in your order. If your order comprises a mix of items (books, a t-shirt and a mug, for example), then you will be charged €3 per item.
